Need help with tasks around the home? Care and Repair can help!
Care and Repair North Lanarkshire helps older and disabled people maintain their independence and live comfortably and safely in their own homes within their community.
It provides practical help to home owners (who are of pensionable age or are disabled) with small repairs and tasks around the home.
Our dedicated team of volunteers provide a handyperson service which can help with wiring plugs, assembling flat pack furniture, putting up curtain poles, replacing light bulbs and moving furniture.
Mrs Trotter, a Care and Repair client, said: "My husband is disabled and cannot manage basic tasks anymore. Having the Care and Repair service gives us a great deal of confidence."
Councillor Allan Graham, Convener of Enterprise and Housing for North Lanarkshire Council, said: “This valuable service offers real support to vulnerable people living in our communities by helping to keep them safe in their homes while increasing levels of community participation, engagement and volunteering.”
